Sepia tone landscape oriented photo 4 3/16"w x 2 1/2"h. This dark photo shows Porto Bello from the north side. There were three parts of the house. On the far left was a gambrel roof section. Next to that on the right was a gambrel roof section whose shingles were a different color. On the right was the gable roofed addition. On the far left, two chimneys flanked the roof peak. Between the older and newer sections of the roof were the other two chimneys. Between the gambrel and gable roofs was a single large white chimney. There was a single, partially enclosed chimney just below the roof peak on the near gable end of the house. There were five barely projecting dormers with eight lights each on the gambrel roof portion of the house and two more large dormers with eight lights each on the gable roofed portion. The older portion of the house had a shed roof porch with two large bays, but the remainder of the porch was obscured by vines. Projecting from the gable roofed part of the house was a building that looks for all the world like a shipping container. There was a double hung window with possibly twelve lights next to the "container." On the gable end was a very small window near the roof peak, a single double hung window on each side of the chimney on the second floor, and three double hung windows on the first floor. The porch on the far side of the building was included in the bulk of the building; it did not have its own separate roof. A well defined path was visible leading to the far left end of the house. There were several large trees on the other side of the house.
