Sepia tone portrait oriented photo 4 3/4"h x 3 1/2"w mounted on heavy umber/gray board. The photographer is not identified. The camera was aimed down a long row of four wide boards flanked by narrower boards laid at a 90 degree angle. There was a tree on the right just before the eye fell on a clapboard shed that was on pilings to get the building to the level of the wharf. Next, just visible, was a white house? office? with a single small chimney. Beyond that was a dark mystery building. There was a hogshead just to one side of the walkway. In the distance, another wharf jutted out into the waterway.
