18 3/4"h x 12 1/4"w poster for a Farmers' Institute in Leonardtown on March 6 and 7 of an unknown year, possibly 1905. The institutes were put on by the Maryland Agricultural College at College Park. Admission was free. The morning sessions were about farm animals, the afternoon sessions covered fruits, vegetables, and tillage, and the evening sessions were on "popular subjects." "No theory--All practical," must have been a response to complaints about previous institutes. There are photos of a wind mill in Anne Arundel county, a water mill at Loch Raven, and a Farmers' exchange building in Frederick.Collection
