Princess St. Mary's County sashEntry/Object ID
2010.002.0073Description
Creamy white shiny cloth sash worn by Virginia Duke as she represented the County at the Maryland Tobacco Festival in September 1941 in La Plata. The text on the sash was in black paint "Princess St. Mary's County." From clues in other material in the collection and the fact that the sash is not long enough to be worn over the shoulder, it must have been pinned on. That would account for the fabric failure near the lower end.Collection
