Paper and cardboard with leather spine. Front cover has some pigment, blue and red, but mostly gone. Spine is yellow and torn in places. Cotton thread binding visible. Front cover heavily damaged with indentations and a hole. Heavily faded but some design and words still recognizable: "Proceedings of the Commissioner of the School Fund for 1818. 1819. 1820. [etc to 1827]" Front inside cover notes the Band of Commissioners of the school fund as appointed in the December 1816 session ch. 256 (9 people, 5 noted as dead) and appointed in December 1817 session ch. 109 (3 people, 2 noted as dead). Hole extends to page 21/22 (front/back) but doesn't reach page 23/24. Handwritten ink notes indicate members present at meetings and issues discussed, such as requests for teachers to teach at schools for a designated time period.Collection
