This booklet is for the graduation exercises for apprentices in the United States Government Printing Office class of 1930. The beige paper cover is bound with a light brown silky cord. There is an illustration of a ship in full sail on the bounding main overlain with the text "Apprentice Ships 1930." There are six pages with demi-lune illustrations of ways to communicate, a reproduction of a page from the Gutenberg 42 line Bible, a list of class officers, and then an alphabetical list, with cameo photos, of class members. Mr. Blackistone is on the page fifteen. This was a four year program. All the graduates were male, with two black men included. The program for the event was on page thirty-four. The G.P.O. orchestra provided the music. This has been stored in an envelope with "Apprenticeship book for graduation Wade H. Blackistone" written in blue ball point on the front.Collection
