Program for the John Carroll award dinner on October 17, 1964, the 13th dinner, at which Mr. Beitzell received the John Carroll award. The folder is 12"h x 9"w and a puce color. 1 1/2" from the top edge and left of center is the text, in black: "Thirteenth Annual John Carroll Awards Dinner October 17, 1964" in 3 lines. On the left edge are 4 5/16" vertical lines, each 1/4" apart and angled at the top. In the lower right corner is the seal of the University with a dark gold background and black lettering, diameter 2 1/4." The long right edge is deckled. A sheet of parchment protects the pages inside. A color copy of the Gilbert Stuart portrait of Father John Carroll 4 5/8"h x 3 7/8"w is centered on the first cream colored page. The next page is blank, except for a printed imitation puce ribbon in the upper left corner; these appear on other pages also. The next page says the alumni association and the Georgetown club present the dinner and lists the awardees. The next page lists the awardees and their classes. The next page has an explanation of the award. The next page is the menu, in French. The next page is the program for the evening; Justice Arthur Goldberg was the speaker. The next 2 pages list patrons and the two pages after that list the committees. On the inside back cover is a 7 1/4" diameter seal designed for the 175th anniversary of the University.Collection
