These booklets are templates for a year's worth of club meetings. It is not possible to tell if they were prepared locally or at the University of Maryland.
1962 8 1/2"h x 5 1/2"w booklet that is 8 1/2" x 11" colored paper folded in half and stapled. This booklet is yellow. It lists the state and local extension staff, the homemaker's creed, lines to enter the local officers, the usual order of business for any meeting, a list of ten ways to keep happy, and then a page for each monthly meeting. This booklet has a January to December calendar. At the top of the page are lines for the hostess, place, date, and time, then a thought for the month [always uplifting or optimistic], roll call, a song, a demonstration, and any business for the meeting. In January, it was installation of officers. Coming events were announced at the end of the meeting. After the December meeting page, there was a set of lines to fill in for officers, project chairs, and committee chairs. Following that were two or three pages of song lyrics.
1963-1964 8 1/2"h x 5 1/2"w booklet that is 8 1/2" x 11" colored paper folded in half and stapled. This booklet is pink. It followed the same format as the 1962 booklet.
1964-1965 8 1/2"h x 5 1/2"w booklet that is 8 1/2" x 11" colored paper folded in half and stapled. This booklet is yellow. The format is the same except the meetings started in July and ended in June.Collection
