Register of Attendance in Public Schools: Commissioner District 3, later Election District 4, School 4
Entry/Object ID

Scope and Content
1 vol. (15 7/8" x 10 1/2")
This book covers Spring term 1866 to Summer term 1872. There is one page of instructions and one page of rules and then the pages are ruled off into five day weeks plus summary columns. Two pages usually sufficed for a quarter. The final page is missing. This teacher used pages which had space left for the next or even a distant quarter, so the book must be read carefully. Beginning with the Spring term of 1870, the District was identified as Election District No. 4. This school usually had an attendance from the high thirties to fifties. A table on the right side of the page indicates subjects pursued.
This may be the Longwoods School.
