This book covers Winter term 1866 to Spring term 1875. There is one page of instructions, one page of rules, and then the pages are ruled off into five day weeks plus a column to show subjects studied. Two pages usually sufficed for a quarter unless there were more than thirty-three pupils. On the "Instructions" page and for the first term only in 1866, the teacher used the school number "30," which is the numbering system begun in the 1850s. The school number changed from 6 to 4 beginning the fall term of 1870. The student census varied from the mid-teens to mid-twenties, with a spike of thirty-four students in the Winter and Spring terms of 1874.Collection
