This book appears to have missing pages; it is difficult to know how many. Those in place cover Winter term 1888 to Fall term 1887. There is one page of instructions and the pages are ruled off into twelve five day weeks plus summary columns. Two pages usually sufficed for a quarter unless there were more than thirty-three pupils. Tables on the right side of the pages showed teachers' salaries, and attendance summary, gender of pupils, and details of the building, as well as an indication of the grade level of the pupils. The student census varied considerably, from a low of ten to more than forty, managed by a teacher and an assistant.
