Scope and Content

1 vol. (13 3/4" x 8 3/8") This book covers the school year of 1931/1932 and 1932/1933. Three pages of instructions are followed by one full size page and five pages of 13" x 5 5/8" ruled off into five five-week segments so each sheet could accommodate a month. The pages show school began on Sept. 8, [1931] and ended June 10, [1932.] The student census was twenty-four. The second set of pages listed twenty-six students beginning school on Sept. 8, 1932 and finishing on June 9, [1933]. The final page was partly filled out and the summary card was filled out. The teacher for 1932/1933 is listed in the book as Pearl C. Bailey, but on the card Lawrence C. Medlock is listed as the teacher. The card is the only spot which identifies the school as District 7, School 2. Regina Hammett identified this school as the Oakley School.
