The directions for completion constitute the first page of the report. The data is for the year ending June 30, 1944. A summary of the number of school buildings and teachers is first, followed by a summary of receipts and disbursements in various breakdowns, finally leading to a cost per pupil. There are separate pages for white and colored schools. This book has a few entries in the "Remarks" section. A copy of the district's financial statement and a chart showing bonuses paid to teachers who remained in the system rather than leaving for better wages elsewhere are in a separate folder.
