This is a photograph of the Ridge, Maryland post office and store. It was probably taken by George Morgan Knight, Jr. This clapboard building, devoid of paint, may have had three parts, each with a gable roof sloping down over the porch. There was a dormer in the roof of the center section. The porches were only a step above the ground. In the gable end facing the camera were two six over six windows. The one on the left had a wooden cover for the entire window. There seemed to be a lot of stuff on the porch, but the photo was rather dark. At least one door and three or more windows were visible on the porch. There were at least two chimneys visible. A car was parked behind the building.
