3 1/2"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photo of Riverview, also known as Canoe Neck or The Hermitage. It was a brick story and a half house with a cedar shake roof. There was an inside end chimney on the gable end. Another chimney was just visible on the far gable end. There appeared to be three gable roofed dormers in the roof. There was a closed end shed roof screened porch, two bays deep, on the house, with quite elaborate railings. In this elevation, there were three additions to the gable end, each much lower than the main building. The one nearest the house was white clapboard with a four light window in the attic and a large window visible in the wall below the eaves. The next addition had a metal roof that incorporated a screened porch. The third addition, taller than the second one, had a shake roof with a metal edge over the screened porch with a closed end shed roof. The porch probably had three bays. There was an entry door near the camera.
