3 1/2"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photo of Riverview, also known as Canoe Neck or The Hermitage. It was a brick story and a half house with a cedar shake roof. There was an inside end chimney on the gable end. There was a small window in the attic to the left of the chimney. Another chimney was just visible on the far gable end. There appeared to be three gable roofed dormers in the roof. There was a gable roofed open porch at right angles to the house. The roof was supported by four posts. In this elevation, there were three buildings near the gable end, each much lower than the main building. The one nearest the house was white clapboard with a window visible in the wall below the eaves. The next addition was also clapboard, with an outside end chimney on the end closest to the camera. The siding was rough edged. It had a large window in the wall under the eaves. The third building looked like a small barn with vertical siding. There were two cars parked in front of the low buildings.
