Black and white 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w photo of Rose Cottage in Leonardtown, Md. This is the front of a story and a half shingled house with the front porch incorporated into the roofline. There is a twin chimney with a pent on the left and a climbing vine on the stack closest to the street. An oil tank is barely visible behind the chimneys. The porch is three bays across and one bay deep, with turned posts and a railing all around. The porch is screened on two of the three bays. There are two gabled dormers in the roof with two over two double hung windows. A low hedge divides the front lawn from the driveway.
