3"h x 3"w black and white photo of the front door of Rose Cottage. The door was on the right third of the house and porch; the other two-thirds were a screened porch. The porch floor was two steps above the ground; the space under the porch was open. There was a hand railing and wooden lattice on the right end of the porch. The door had two small panels above, large rectangles in the middle, and medium size panels below. There were no windows in the door. The sill was a step above the porch floor. The shingles, newel posts, and the door were all painted white. There was a globular light fixture on the porch ceiling in front of the door. In the upper right may have been an alarm box and what looks for all the world like a basket sitting on top of it. George Morgan Knight, Jr. and his mother Grace lived in the cottage for several years.
