Rose Cottage with cars in frontEntry/Object ID
1995.001.2054Description
3" x 3" black and white photo of cars in front of Rose Cottage. All the trees are fully leafed, so it must have been summertime. There was a Pontiac on the right, a woodie in the center, and a commercial van on the left. The text on the back door advertised "..., linoleum, Congoleum, rubber tile, asphalt tile, and Venetian blinds." Rose Cottage was a story and a half home with a gable roof and large chimneys with a television antenna on the left. There were two dormers on the street side with two over two double hung windows. There were no visible window coverings. Two of the three porch bays were screened. There was a power pole in front of the house with several signs tacked on it. There was also a street sign to the left of the pole "2 hour parking 8am to 6 pm." There were buildings on each side of the cottage. George Morgan Knight, Jr. and his mother Grace lived in the cottage for several years.
