Water color by Father Stephen Tushak of Rosecroft near St. Mary's City, Md. It is a spring scene. The main block of the house has a brick end visible and a frame wall with a full-length porch. The house has a gambrel roof with five gable dormers and a slightly sloped roof projecting from under the eaves to create the open porch. A large single-stack, corbel capped red brick chimney is visible at the near end and there is a similar chimney at the far end. There are single windows on each side of the chimney on the second floor; each window has a brick arch. On the first floor, under the porch roof, is a center door, flanked by two fifteen-light, turquoise shuttered windows on each side. There appear to be three steps down to the path. On the brick end are two small frame, single story additions. The first is set back halfway back on the chimney base and has a gable roof. One fifteen-light window with turquoise shutters is visible. The next little addition has a gable roof, but it is lower than the first addition. There is an inside end chimney of considerable height for the size of the building. At the chimney end is a door on the right side of the wall and on the other face is a single window with turquoise shutters. At the opposite end of the main house is a substantial white frame story and a half addition. It has a gable roof which continues past the eaves to cover an open porch and has a single gable dormer in its center. There is an inside end, corbel capped chimney at its far end. This view does not allow one to see how the chimney on the main house melded with this addition. Only one first floor turquoise shuttered window is visible. Beyond that is another one story frame addition with an inside end corbel capped chimney projecting from a gable roof. Two turquoise shuttered windows are visible in this addition. The next building is oriented ninety degrees to the rest of the house. It is a single story brick structure with a gable roof and an inside end chimney with a corbel cap. Two small attic windows are visible in the chimney end. Several feet beyond this is a small white gazebo with arched openings. It also has a cupola with similar arched openings. A white path runs in front of this house and elaborate gardens are visible.
