3 1/4"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photo of Rosedale on the Patuxent River. This large home had a five bay central portion and wings on each gable end. Most of the windows had dark shutters. The gable roofed wings were at right angles to the main building. There were large chimneys on each gable end of the main building. This elevation shows one of the wings. On the gable end are two large windows and a double door. There were two gable roofed dormers on the shake roof. On the long wall on the first floor was a large double window, a central entry door, and a six over six double hung window with black shutters. There was a patio on this end of the house. The property was part of Resurrection Manor and was variously known as Orchard Neck and Read's. The final owners gave the property to the State of Maryland in 1971 and it is now part of Greenwell State Park.
