Description

3 3/16"h x 3 3/16"w sepia tone photo of Ruth Petrie Dent with dark hair and another young girl with light hair. If you said the unidentified girl is likely the person in 2013.007.0135, I would believe you. The girls are seated on the ground at the foot of a tree. The photo is light-struck in two places. Ruth is on the left in a blouse with a high neck and large cuffs and she wore a dark flared skirt. Her hair is piled on her head and imperfectly corralled with a bow. The other girl wore a light colored blouse with a high neck, long sleeves, and buttons down the front. Her hair was barely captured on top of her head and she also had a bow. She also wore a large dark bow at her neck. There appear to be cows in the background so maybe this is at Burlington. ************************************ Text on verso: in pencil: "Ruth Dent"
