Description

7"h x 5"w sepia tone photo of Ruth Petrie Dent in what was probably her wedding dress. She was with her back to the camera and her face in profile. Her very dark hair was pulled back to a loose bun low on the back of her head. There was a chain around her neck. The dress had a square neckline with wide straps. Her shoulders were bare, but then a piece of material was tied in two places farther down her arm. The edges of these pseudo-sleeves may have had beads sequins on them. An embroidered sunburst was on one shoulder strap and farther down her back. The dress was fastened up the center back, perhaps with a zipper. ************************************ Text on verso: in blue ball point ink: "Lettie Marshall Dent 1926" [I do not think this is correct.]
