Water color by Father Stephen Tushak of Saint Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, Md. It is a summer scene. The church is pale yellow stucco with a gable roof pierced by a large bell tower in the front. The supports for the tower also provide an entrance to the church. The lowest level projects the farthest from the front of the building. It contains a double paneled door capped by an arch and decorative plaster work is at the top of this section. The next section, set back from the lower one, has two tall narrow arched windows and there is a repeat of the plaster work. The next section is not very tall and has round windows. This is surmounted by an open bell tower with open arches and railings around it. The spire is very tall and slender, curving at its junction with the belfry in a trumpet effect. The spire is topped with a cross. On the front of the building on either side of the entrance are two very tall gothic sashed windows. There is more decorative plaster work under the eaves. On the long side of the building are first a door near the front corner and then five gothic sash windows. The sacristy at the back of the building has the same roof line, but is only one story, with one window, a door and steps up to it. There is a path to the main entrance and a path or driveway along the long wall.
