Water color by Father Stephen Tushak of Saint Andrew's Protestant Episcopal Church, California, Md. It is a summer scene. The church is rosy brick with a gable roof on the main building and a gable roof on the entry porch. At the two front corners, projecting beyond the corners of the building are two square towers with pyramidal roofs topped with crosses. The first level of the tower, ending at the eaves of the building, is marked by an indention. In the lower part on the two outside faces is a tall niche crowned by a brick arch with a keystone. In the upper section on the front face is a smaller niche crowned by an arch without a keystone. On the other upper outside face is fifteen-light window with an arch. The space between the towers is bridged by a brick structure which projects from the building and is supported by square pillars which taper as they rise. This creates a covered porch for the entrance. The upper part of the entrance contains a palladian window with a small gable over it. At the peak of the gable is a cross. The spaces between the window and the towers are plain brick and the roof over them is flat. In the porch is a door into the right tower, a gothic sash window and an arched door. The towers and the porch are close to the same height, so the building does not "soar." On the long visible side of the building, a door is centered in the space and flanked by two gothic sash windows on either side. A small chimney pierces the roof line above the door. The graveyard is all around the church and is not defined by a fence or hedge. Each grave site is neatly covered with green foliage.
