This is a ghostly photograph of the St. Clement's Island lighthouse after it burned. The light tower looms between the roofless gable end of the three story brick building. Two trees in sharp focus are between the photographer and the building and the beach curves left past the building. The Virginia shoreline is clearly visible in the background. The ghostly nature of the building may be the work of the developer.
