4 3/8"h x 3 3/8"w color photo of Saint Francis Xavier Church on Newtowne Neck. The large brick twin chimney manor house was behind the church. The photographer was standing in the driveway looking at the entrance to the building. There was a four bar fence on each side of a brick walk. There were colonial style lights on poles on each side of the walk. The vestibule and choir loft of the church was three sided, with six over six double hung windows on each face of the second floor and on the side faces of the first floor. There was a slight arch over each of these windows. There was a double wooden entry door with two square panels and a small rectangular panel on each door. The flat spaces were painted yellow. The four sided bell tower was on the roof peak just back from the vestibule. It had round arch louvers on each side. The four sided shake roof pyramided to an orb and cross. On each side of the building was a steeply sloped shed roof over the sanctuary which was covered in a warm beige clapboard.
