3 1/2"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photograph of Saint George's Episcopal Church in Valley Lee, known to most as Poplar Hill Church. The church was renovated in the summer of 1958, right down to the studs. Mr. Fenwick took quite a few photos of the process. This photo shows the inside of one gable end. The gallery was held up by jacks. A turnbuckle was visible at the top of the photo. There was a trench in the floor on the left, guarded by a sawhorse. The two windows in the gable end were only frames; the glass was stored away. Each window had had work done at its top.
