3 1/2"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photograph of Saint George's Episcopal Church in Valley Lee, known to most as Poplar Hill Church. The church was renovated in the summer of 1958, right down to the studs. Mr. Fenwick took quite a few photos of the process. In this view the camera was pointed up at the rounded rafters on the gable end above the circular window. The church had a rounded arch ceiling when the renovation was completed. Turnbuckles were visible in the photo. There had been masonry work done above the door and up the gable wall next to the circular window. The window had a eight-pointed star in the glass.
