3 1/2"h x 5"w black and white photo of Saint Mark's Episcopal Church, in which Dr. James Thomas Notley Maddox was very active. It is a small stone church with a very steep gable roof, a small belfry set back just a little, and a square chimney on the back right corner. There was a small addition on the back gable end. The front entry was sheltered by a small dark gable roof. A small "gothic" window was near the roof peak over the entry. There were three pointed windows on the long wall of the church. A similar window as just visible in the addition. The front of the building was hemmed around by hedges. A lacy metal bench was in the foreground by the walkway. The photo illustrates an article by Gerald Sword about Doctor Maddox in Volume 34, No. 8 (August 1986) p. 389-396, Chronicles of St. Mary's.
