3 1/4"h x 4 3/4"w color print of Saint Mary's County Courthouse. The photo is quite faded--yellows and dull reds predominate. This was a view from the Washington Street side of the building. A steep slope up from the road was covered with vines to stabilize the soil. In this photo, the roof was light colored. On the closest wing there were two round arched windows on the second floor and a single round arched window on the first floor. The wall around the corner had two round arched windows above and below. The windows on the first floor had striped awnings. In the wing at right angles to the main building, there were three round arched windows, space for the chimney stack, and another round arched window on the second floor. Decorative brick marked the line between the first and second floors. On the first floor there were three round arched windows with striped awnings. There was a modern two story building behind that had very ordinary windows.
