Description
3 1/8"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photo of St. Mary's County Courthouse during construction of an addition. This courthouse was built ca. 1899 and occupied in 1901. There was a trench in front of the building, so a "bridge" had been built so people could get in the front door. All the window and door openings had round arches above. There was a five bay porch on the first floor with a slightly sloped roof and pairs of pillars set in concrete supports.
