Description
3 1/2"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photo of St. Mary's County Courthouse during construction of an addition. This Courthouse was built ca. 1899 and occupied in 1901. This view shows the Washington Street side of the building. Two windows on the first floor have been removed and a new wall was being built to add several feet of room on the Courthouse Drive side. There was a set of rough steps from the Courthouse lawn to Washington Street and a deep trench next to the steps.
