3 1/2"h x 5 1/2"w gray tone postcard showing Saint Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown. It was a two story brick building on an English basement. The center portion projected out from the rest of the building and had the big front door crowned by a broken pediment. A wide staircase went up to the door. Otherwise, the building was extremely plain with eleven windows in the second floor, ten windows and the door on the first floor, and ten visible windows in the ground floor. A large chimney and an equipment house were on the roof. The building was surrounded by a large flat lawn and some bushes. A cartouche in the lower left corner identified the building. In the lower right corner "38844." This is one of those images that does not scan well.
