3 1/2"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photo of a ruinous dwelling at Salisbury Plains. This was a story and a half gable roofed building with a long sloping roof to cover porches on each long wall. There was an outside end chimney on the visible gable end and another chimney on the far end of the house. The near chimney stack stood away from the building after it left the shoulders of the firebox. The gable end was brick, except for the closed ends of the porch which were riven clapboards. There were two large rectangular window openings (no glazing present) on each side of the chimney at attic level. Any openings on the first floor were obscured by foliage. On the left, approximately level with the window openings, was the remnant of a small chimney. In front of it was a triangular section of clapboard that formed some sort of addition and sheet metal roofing for another small addition. Foliage run wild was between the photographer and the building.
