Description

10 5/8"h x 8"w black and white photocopy of a photo. There is no date for the photo. This shows the grave marker for Sarah Clare Thomas after the headstone had been cleaned. The circular top of the stone had an incised bird in a circle--a dove with an olive branch. The text was visible, but not legible from this distance. Her entire grave was surrounded by a low stone wall with a scalloped top and a footstone, too. It is right next to a good sized tree; it is a wonder the stones had not been lifted and tipped over. This is at the cemetery at Deep Falls. ********************************** Text on verso: none
