1 folder ; 11 3/4" x 9 5/8" These forms were used to request the redemption of savings bonds from the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. The applicant surrendered his/her bonds, noting the face value, and the Fed apparently calculated what might be due to the bond holder and sent a check. Apparently one was allowed to redeem a bond even if it had not been held for ten years because these requests were for Series E bonds that had been held in some cases for less than a year.
