These forms were used to request Series E savings bonds from the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. The Trust ordered what they thought they needed and sold them to the community. The money the Trust took in was deposited in a special account with the Fed. Stephen Jones was the cashier until March 1942, after which Stuart B. Bennett was the cashier. We don't know from these forms if the Trust had orders for these denominations or it made an educated guess about what would sell. It is interesting to see the trajectory of sales during the war.
