1 folder ; 11 3/4" x 9 5/8" These forms were used to request Series E savings bonds from the Baltimore Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank in Richmond. The Trust ordered what they thought they needed and sold them to the community. The money the Trust took in was deposited in a special account with the Fed. Stuart B. Bennett was the cashier. We don't know from these forms if the Trust had orders for these denominations or it made an educated guess about what would sell. It is interesting to see the trajectory of sales during the war. Is there a correlation between battles won and a surge in sales? The last of the forms is for September 1944, but we have no way of knowing if there were further sales and the paperwork did not survive.
