Black and white photo of Savona. Mr. Fenwick stood off one corner so he could include one set of double chimneys with pent in the photo. The house was two and a half stories tall with a plain gable roof. The roof appeared to be of cedar shakes. There were four outside end chimneys--two on each gable end. In the visible chimney pair there was a nearly two story pent with a shed roof. Beginning about two-thirds of the way up the roof, the chimneys stood away from the gable end. Each chimney had a corbel, although the corbel on the far chimney on the near end had a notch in it. There were two sets of aerials on the roof peak at the time of the photo (1954). There were three small gables in the roof, each with its own gable roof shingled in shakes that extended down the side of the dormer. Each dormer had a nine over six double hung window. On the second floor were three nine over six double hung windows on the long side and one visible similar window on the gable end. There were no shutters at the windows, so the effect is quite stark. Immediately below the windows the closed shed cedar shake porch roof began. The fully-screened porch covered the entire side of the house. Four round pillars supported the porch roof and the screening was outside of the pillars. A screen door was in the center of the porch above the two steps to the ground. Chairs, tables, and flowerpots were visible on the porch. There were also flowerpots and benches on the grass outside the porch. Two nine over nine windows and a center door into the house were barely visible through the porch screening. On the gable end on the first floor was one nine over nine window and a small four over two window in the brick pent. A closed shed roof for an open porch was visible on the opposite side of the house. The house may have had a water view on that side.
