Scope and Content

177 p. : ill. ; 8 1/2" x 11" This is an unbound report on school facilities from the Saint Mary's County Board of Education as required by Section 130A of Article 77 of the Public School Laws of Maryland. Each district had to provide a five year projection of facility needs and submit it to the Interagency Committee for State Public School Construction. The were four phases in the report: Phase I The Planning Process Phase II Educational Program Design Phase III Background Data and Inventory of Facilities Phase IV Construction Planning [from FY 1976 to FY 1982] There are several brief surveys of community services in the county as of 1975, data sheets about each school and floor plans for the schools. The last phase shows all the projects on the books at that time. Leonardtown Middle School and Leonardtown High School were the big ticket new construction items, to be followed by large additions to Chopticon and Great Mills High Schools.
