School field trip--White House at Charlotte Hall Military AcademyEntry/Object ID
1995.001.1920Description
3 1/2"h x 3"w black and white photo of a school field trip, likely in the company of LaVerne Fenwick, a teacher at Leonardtown School. This photo is of the White House at Charlotte Hall School, at that time called Charlotte Hall Military Academy. The white stucco building was one and a half stories with a gambrel roof. In this view, there were two gable roof dormers with double hung windows with screens. The entry double door was in the center of the first floor and there were two large nine over nine light windows on each side. The simple entry porch was six steps above the ground. The shrubbery was too large for the building.
