Scope and Content

1 v. (14" x 8 1/2") The primary focus of the book is Maryland politics, the General Assembly, the wet/dry (Volstead) issue, taxation, oyster harvesting, women and child welfare, and Mr. Coad's role in these affairs. Mr. Coad aspired to the Speakership of the House of Delegates, but did not succeed. There are some articles about Saint Mary's County and several obituaries. These articles are pasted in a used ledger. Some articles which were pasted in were later cut out.
