4"h x 6"w aerial gray green photo of the Seven Gables Hotel in California, Maryland. The hotel no longer stands. It was a very popular night spot back in the day. Most of the gabled part of the building is visible, but most of the addition on the right is not. The central bloc had a large central gable, flanked by two smaller gables. The additions on each side also had two smaller gables. What was probably a long porch across the entire building had been enclosed. The window pattern was not consistent on the second floor, but the first floor had ten pairs of windows evenly spaced. The gable end of the addition is just visible. Next to it was a pier with several boats in slips. There was a road between the building and the Patuxent River, so the front yard was shallow. There were several large trees and a central flagpole. Benches and lawn chairs were scattered about the yard. There was a long pier out into the Patuxent partially visible. There was a large lawn at the rear of the building facing the tidal creek.
