Description

This hardcover book, published in 2007 by Gramercy Press, is a facsimile of the 1926 edition of Show Boat by Edna Ferber. She did research for the book on the James Adams Floating Theater. The hardcover is a light pumpkin color with no decoration other than the title and publisher on the spine. The paper cover is a light gold with the title in simple black letters near the top and an elegant colored drawing of attendees going up a gangplank on the middle of the cover, both front and back. At the bottom of the front cover, a rope is drawn stretched tight from a piling to separate the drawing from the author's name. There are no illustrations in the text.
