Sotterley postcard--Exterior 3Entry/Object ID
1995.001.2491Description
3 1/2"h x 5 1/2"w black and white postcard showing Sotterley on the waterside. The building had two visible chimneys and a white cupola on the roof. A large dormer with six windows covered about two thirds of the length of the building and there were two individual dormers with gable roofs. On the first floor, a closed end shed roof covered a long porch with nine or ten bays. All of the dormer windows were six over six. The first floor windows were larger. All the windows had shutters. There were benches and folding chairs on the porch. A small part of the brick gable end was on the left. A window with shutters was near the roofline and a small window was near the corner with the porch. The trees were green and leafy, so they provided lovely shade. In the "frame" of the photo "Moss Photo, N.Y."
