3 1/2"h x 5 1/2"w sepia tone postcard showing the drawing room of Sotterley. The photo focussed on the fireplace and alcove wall with the elaborate carving and half shells at the top of the alcoves. There was a fire in the fireplace and chairs arranged about the room. There were several pieces of porcelain on the mantel. In the bottom edge of the "frame" around the image, "Famous drawing room at 'Sotterley' in St. Mary's County, Maryland Built 1730"
