5 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w black and white postcard of the center hall at Sotterley. The camera was pointing toward the waterside double front door, past the Chippendale staircase and Chinese lantern, hung close to the ceiling. On the left was the door to the drawing room. It had an antique weapon hung over the door frame. Next to the front door was a large six over six window with draperies and a valence. The radiator was under the window. Tables and chairs lined the walls. There were Chinese rugs on the floor. Barely visible on the right was the door to the Washington room. There was a large cold air return grate in the floor.
