Black and white 2 3/4"h x 4 1/2"w photo of Southampton before it burned. The main house is two stories with a gambrel roof. There is a twin chimney stack at the far end of the house. On the near end, there is an six over six attic window that is to the left of the peak. On the second floor, there are three dormers on the long face of the house and a single window in the near end. There are no windows on the first level, but there appears to be a basement access on this wall. The porch on the first floor has a shed roof with a closed end. The porch appears to have four open bays supported on sizable square posts. A door to the house is close to the corner nearest the camera. The windows on the first floor are not visible. The porch is three steps above the ground. There is a two story addition to the house that is set back so its roof eave is about in line with the center line of the main house. It has a gable roof with a single chimney on the gable end. There is one window on the second floor with shutters and two windows with shutters on the first floor. There is lattice-work fencing at the corner of the addition. Poultry is walking around the yard.
