Black and white 8"h x 10"w photo of the parade of the Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention in Lexington Park on September 28, 1957. Mr. Fenwick is driving the Leonardtown Volunteer fire Department fire truck #2, a 1928 Seagrave. Roland B. Duke is riding shotgun. He seems to be keeping an eye on Mr. Fenwick's speed. There is another fire truck coming behind. The Seagrave carried triple extension ladders on the sides and a longer, wider ladder on a set of supports above the driver. It had only four wheels. There is a large light in front of Mr. Duke and a smaller, possibly red, light next to Mr. Fenwick. A shiny brass bell is between them. The front of the truck has two large headlights and a siren mounted between the bumper and the radiator. The name of the department is spelled out on the side of the long hood over the powerplant. The parade is passing a multi-storefront brick building. Nearly every window on the second floor has a window air conditioner. George's Haberdashery is visible and a florist. In the background is a building with a long sloping flat roof . The cars are parked at right angles to the curb and quite a few people are watching the parade.
